Dr Gaurav Kumar is an alumni of King George Medical University, Lucknow. He has received prestigious A.O International fellowship from Switzerland , Joint replacement Fellowship from Germany. He has worked as a Joint replacement Surgeon at Breach Candy Hospital (Mumbai), Lilavati Hospital (Mumbai) and Sancheti Hospital (Pune). He has been trained in Computer Assisted Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery at various centers across the globe( Berlin, Malaysia, Switzerland).

He is a pioneer in field of Joint replacement and Sports medicine surgery, in past 10 years he has conducted more than 2000 Successful joint replacement surgery. In 2015 he has become the first Joint replacement surgeon of the region and among the few in India to have performed a successful Computer Assisted (Navigated ) Joint replacement surgery. His Innovation driven Commitment has Transformed Jhansi Orthopaedic Hospital in to an Advance Health care centre for Orthopaedic Superspeciality Services including in- house Computer assisted replacement and Arthroscopic surgeries.
